Dr. Dayani has 25 years of experience in all types of braces. Patients often prefer hidden braces and Lingual Braces are the only truly invisible option (excluding Invisalign which are clear, removable plastic braces). Dr. Dayani was one of the first orthodontists to use lingual braces and has gained significant experience in getting great results with this type of braces, sometimes in combination with cosmetic dentistry procedures such as teeth whitening and veneers to create an overall beautiful, radiant smile.

Lingual braces are technically demanding as they are fitted to the inner aspect of the teeth, which makes them hidden from view. You should choose an certified orthodontist who works on similar cases daily. During your free consultation, Dr. Dayani will evaluate your teeth, show you before & after photos of past patients, suggest a treatment plan and if you choose to begin treatment, he will accompany you along the way to ensure complete satisfaction.

What are lingual braces?
Lingual braces are braces which fit on the inner surfaces of the teeth and are truly the only invisible fixed brace treatment. They work in the same way as conventional fixed braces but with the big difference - no one will know you are wearing braces. They allow us to carry out the full range of tooth movements to achieve the perfect smile for you.

What are Incognito lingual braces?
Incognito lingual braces are manufactured with the latest state of the art CAD/CAM technology. Each gold alloy bracket is manufactured using the latest rapid prototyping machines, the wires are precisely custom-made by wire-bending robots to deliver your completely bespoke treatment. Orthodontists such as Dr. Dayani are required to gain further training and accreditation to be able to provide Incognito lingual braces.

How do you fit them?
A couple of appointments are required. During the first appointment a detailed impression (mould) of your teeth is taken to allow the laboratory to make your custom made braces. At the second appointment, the brackets are sitting in a clear tray. Your teeth are cleaned and prepared to allow the tray to be inserted. The tray is removed once the brackets have been fitted and then the wire tied into the brackets.

Does it hurt?
It generally takes one to two weeks to get used to the braces. During the first few weeks you are likely to experience some mild discomfort which can be easily relieved by mild painkillers if required. Similar to conventional braces, during treatment there are types of food which you will now have to avoid to reduce the risk of the brace breaking, for e.g. crusty breads. We will thoroughly discuss with you the after-care advice and throughout your treatment our team are happy to answer any concerns you may have at any time.

Is it suitable for me?
Lingual brace treatment can be carried out on the majority of cases. An orthodontic assessment is required to determine the suitability for treatment or suggest alternatives. During your consultation we will discuss with you the duration of the treatment along with a treatment fee. We now offer 0% interest free financing plans with affordable monthly payments.
